Risks
"Are there risks involved with cosmetic procedures?"
Dr. Pang: Typically, cosmetic procedures are very routine. It’s just that some dentists simply do not have adequate training for these procedures in dental school. For a dentist to become skilled with cosmetic dentistry requires many hours of post-graduate training at advanced centers, like the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Training (LVI) In my opinion, cosmetic dentistry is aesthetic general dentistry at it’s finest. The ability to mimic mother nature and restore a smile to it’s natural appearance is where the artistry and proper training comes in. Everyone desires white teeth. But, in fact a natural smile has 4-5 shades of white blended together in one tooth. To answer your question, yes there are risks. The same risks for any other dental procedure. And, there are probably millions of dental procedures completed every day with minimal problems.
